HP prepares slate of AMD, Intel notebooks

AMD notebooks rhyme with Hecate

SOURCES INDICATED HP is set to launch a range of notebook in the next two months including two products codenamed Tecate, and other products codenamed Dunkel and Chimay.

The AMD notebooks in HP's "performance" range will be numbered the 6715b and the 6715s, each with 15.4-inch screens and weighing 2.7KG. Slightly later than that HP will introduce "balanced mobility" notebooks - the Dunkel 6510b and the Chimay 6910p, each having 14.1-inch screens and weighing 2.1KG and 2KG respectively.

Between June and September 2007, HP will release two notebooks in its "ultra light" range, codenamed the Optimator (2710p) and the Sapporo (2510p). These will have 12.1-inch screens and weigh around 1.6KG and 1.5KG respectively. µ
