DIY AMD roadmaps are go!

The Daily Wibble

DESPITE NUMEROUS CONFUSED reports to the contrary, one of which we were possibly (cough!) ourselves guilty, AMD maintains it has not changed its roadmap for delivering its next generation Barton and Hammer processors next year.

DIY roadmap specialist PC Watch has posted its own (not Tom's!) interpretation of AMD's plans over here. Make of it what you will...

There's a commentary too. And here's an Alta Vista translation (not that it helps that much either). Anyhow, it's late and I'm bleary eyed. Let me know what you make of that too...

On the other side of the fence, PCStats has posted a review of an Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor. Have a wibble over here.

Meanwhile, Hexus.net has bunged up a review of MSI's 648 MAX motherboard over here. If you're happy running your processor at default speeds, and want a motherboard that's fast, stable, and cheap without sacrificing stability or true value-adding extras, the MSI 648 MAX would be a good choice, they say.

Elsewhere, the Shuttle Barebone series got a major performance overhaul with the inclusion of an AGP slot on the SS51. Is this the SFF rig enthusiasts have been waiting for? Asks the viper over here.

Liquid Ninjas (who?!) have been fiddling about with a Abit KD7-RAID motherboard review almost entriely from the perspective of the overclocker, they say over here.

Here's a Googled translation.

Lost Circuits cast an eye over Iwill's MPX2 mobo, a board, they say, that certainly qualifies as the oddball / underdog in the MPX field, over here.

8ballshardware pots a A7V8X mobo review over here.

Hard Tecs 4U has published a very detailed article, they say concerning the problematic IRQ sharing issues many users have to face every day. That's here in, erm German.

3DVelocity has a look at Thermaltake's 360W Purepower PSU over here.

Aselabs has a look at a Plextor 48/24/48A CDRW over here.

While 3dXtreme has a look at a Lite-On LTR-48246S 48x24x48x CD-RW drive over here.

Tech Report tips up with a look at NVidia's NV18 and NV28, AGP 8x chips over here.

And Sapphire's Radeon 9700 Atlantis Pro wibbles to the surface again. This time VR-Zone Hardware do the gandering over here.

8Dimensional has amassed a veritable Wibblethon of collected links to reviews.of video cards based on ATi's Radeon 9700 chip over here.

And some software... Sudhian fiddles with LIUtilities WinBackup for backing up your data over here.

Nail the Wibbler here.
