Super Talent ups the memory speed bar

1866MHz DDR3 hits the market
Tuesday, 31 July 2007, 11:37
SUPER TALENT UPPED the ante in the memory speed race today with 1866MHz DDR3. For those of you who have totally lost track, this is PC3-14900, memory speeds are starting to look like 3DMark scores.

The memory, available in a 2G kit (2 x 1G sticks) is guaranteed to hit those speeds, so people out there with P35 mobos, take note. It will run at timings of 8-8-8-24 while sucking 1.9v.

Don't look for these to be cheap, Super Talent is estimating they will cost about $625 a pair.

On a related note, the company put up an album of prototype designs. Check them out, there is some good stuff there. ยต
