First in China
Tue Dec 12 2006, 00:01
SOURCES AT CHIP FIRM Intel confirmed it will not hold a Developer Forum in San Francisco next spring.

Instead, its first IDF next year will be in Communist country and anti-Internet territory capital Beijing on April 17-18th next year.

This is something of a first for Intel, because the SF spring gig was one of its top launch dates.

Intel, in a prepared statement, said IDF was a long term working programme.

Now imagine all the American hacks trying to get Chinese visas. Go on, imagine. µ
