CORSAIR showcased the DDR 2 1066 at Cebit. It was in the form of 2x512MB kit and, since that day we've been waiting to see one in retail.

The memory maker informed us that it started shipping the kits more than a week ago but says that it took a while for US etailers to have them listed as available

At this point Newegg and Zipzoomfly have the kits avialble for $229. you get two times 512MB for the one gig kit, as they call it. You can buy it here and here.

We have folk complaining to us that they ordered OCZ 1000MHz memory two weeks ago but that the mighty Newegg still hasn't shipped the kit. But according to us here it's been available all month.

Still, DDR 2 will do just fine for the Pentium platform, while Athlon users have to wait for Computex before they buy their first DDR 2 AMD platforms. µ
