Quanta, Mitac to make AMD desktops, report

DIGITIMES ran a report saying major original design manufacturers (ODMs) Mitac and Quanta are putting together desktops which will use AMD microprocessors.

It quotes Chinese language Commercial Times as making the claim.

The desktops, according to the report, will start shipping in September.

Last week Merrill Lynch threw its weight behind reports that Dell may well introduce a range of AMD based machines. µ
