Music, fun and frolics in X86 Factor

WE'RE NOT SURE we've ever heard of such a thing before. But Intel - maker of all things semiconductor - is putting on a talent show. Not of its products, or its initiatives, or design wins - of its staff's entertaining talent.

According to Arizona Central, the appearance of Intel doyens at a local charity fundraiser is a regular event. In fact, it's now in its 18th year, it is said, and the Chipzillains have raised $140k for good causes, which is no mean feat.

On show will be a group of Intel engineers, calling themselves the Sound Bytes, who claim to be a five-piece contemporary acapella group.

Intel mavens will organise themselves into groups of comedians, singers, dancers and more than a couple of bands.

Perhaps we can dream that Otellini might make a stage-stealing appearance? Or, surely kicking Pat can carry a tune.

If you happen to be in the area with a camera, head down to Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday at 7PM. You may need a beer. ยต
