Acer downsizes

Aims for Asus with Eee-a-like
Friday, 30 May 2008, 09:38

ULTRA MINI LAPTOPS are all the rage at the moment, ever since the Asus Eee PC took the world by surprise by being, well, not bad at all. Since the Asus launch we've seen machines from MSI, HP as well as Dell, and now we have one more brand to add to the list - Acer.

Spy pics of the Acer Aspire Mini-Note have tipped up here.

The machine looks like a fairly typical device - 9-inch screen, small keyboard, a neat bit of chassis design and Windows XP installed. The hardware is Intel Atom, as with most of the other machines, and the machine is even made by Quanta, the Taiwanese ODM making boxes for HP and Dell.

Expect the little snapper to launch at Computex next week, along with probably about ten more from other companies looking to ape Asus' success. ยต

URL...

Well the pics would be there if you hadn't URL encoded the extra space on the end :-p

For those that require English that's remove the %20 from the end :-)
