Nintendo won't guarantee a Christmas Wii

Good King Wiilessness looked out

DESPITE the fact that Nintendo knows its Wii games console is jolly popular in the US, it has warned that it has been caught short in the supply department this Christmas.

This might not be a surprise to anyone who has tried to buy a Wii in the lead-up to Christmas. The outfit always under estimates how many people will want to buy its product and always sells out.

Speaking to Forbes, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has warned that there will be a piddling amount of Wiis winging their way to the US this Crimbo.

Iwata said Nintendo was really intending to increase the shipments to the US, especially compared to last year. However he couldn’t give a 100 per cent commitment that you'll be able to find a Wii in the US this holiday season.

This may be WiiSpeak for we have made slightly more Nintendo consoles in the US than last year but it will be about as effective as filling the demand as an unemployed slug can manage his council tax bill. µ
