Carphone Warehouse tries US

UK MOBILE phone retailer Carphone Warehouse is to set up test stores in the US in partnership with electronics superstore Best Buy, accroding to various reports.

The move could provide our American friends with a different approach to retailing and UK users with troubleshooting when traveling through the land of the free.

Carphone may have some snags to work though with its Free Broadband ISP service but nobody doubts its ability to haul customers through its doors and the US lacks independent phone dealers. Instead, carriers tend to promote their own wares. µ
