Pentium name makes a return

HW Roundup while Shuttleworth spills the beans about future of Ubuntu

OUR OLE FRIENDS FROM X-bit Laboratories tested passive coolers from Artic Cooling and Cooler Master. These passive babies were tested on Geforce 7600GT and Radeon X1950, but you can expect that those three coolers will cool new generation boards as well. Efficiency is all that matters here. The second review is a far more interesting one - Pentium made re-appearance for those markets that still think that Pentium is God, and Intel makes what. Yes, you've guessed it right, for the marketing laden crowd, La Intella has relaunched Pentium brand with E2160 and E2140, and X-Bit Labs has the review here.

InsideHW posted a roundup of DirectX 10 mainstream cards from Nvidia, of course. We expect to see ton of ATi's own mainstream parts during next week in Taipei, but for now, Nv rules the roost for those that want DX10 compliancy without breaking the bank.

EliteBastards reviewed Noctua NC-U6 chipset cooler. This passive cooler has been making the rounds, and this guys made no exception. Only thing we worry about is the size of the device. Guys measured 85mm height, so make sure your VGA card does not come with king-size passive coolers on the back.

Whoopty tested OCZ Reaper PC8500 HPC, high-performing DDR2 memory.

Phoronix posted thinkings of no other than Mark Shuttleworth, a space tourist and a person behind Ubuntu linux. Head over there and read this interview.

Apple hardware isn't something that gets reviewed oftenly, but guys from BIOSmagazine posted a review of AirPort Extreme, WiFi router based on draft-N spec.

Dave from Overclockers club posted a review of Patriot PEF4G200USB Xporter XT High Speed USB Flash Drive. Yes, this title probably is longer than the capacity of the drive, but nevertheless, this 4Gig stick review was an interesting one.

Rob Williams from Techgage tested Logitech X-240, affordable 2.1 music speaker set. Can you get something better for $99 category? Let us know (l'inq at the bottom of the page).
