Broadband switching getting easier?

SWAPPING OUT UK broadband providers may be getting easier, the BBC suggests.

Rules brought in on 14 February mean ISPs have to hand over MAC addresses within five days of the demand being made. In a smart piece of thinking, the Beeb recruited a sample group of users about to switch to test whether things were getting better.

The weak part of the report is that it doesn't say how many users it sampled but it goes on to suggest the anecdotal evidence is that things are getting better.

For those of you stuck in broadband limbo, there are also some hints and tips for making the service providers pull their fingers out. µ
