Epox releases Nforce 4 Ultra board

EP-9NPA+ Ultra with one SLI slot
Tue Nov 23 2004, 05:12
WHILE EVERYONE talks about SLI, only Epox dared to introduce a motherboard with one PCIe slot. At current prices, buying even one card is a luxury and we don't event want to start to contemplate how much money you have to spend for two of them.

Holy Paddy Ashdown!

Epox green motherboard has three PCIe 1X slots, PCIe 16X and three more PCI plan slots. Epox chose to cool the chipset actively and naturally offers four DDR slots.

Legacy two times IDE and floppy connectors are there accompanied with four SATA II ports. Those SATA II ports are "theoretically" twice as fast as S=ATA one.

The now rightly infamous Nforce 4 Ultra chipset comes with a 1GHz "Hypertense" FSB, and this board features Gigabit LAN and two marchitecture "nTunes" that should make your board more stable, as well as "ActiveArmor", a technology which ought to make your network more secure.

Do we need to remind you that this board comes with socked 939 for Athlon 64 and FXs? [Yes, Ed.] Samples are in the channel and apparently you will be able to buy it by Yule. ยต
