Computer holds Gary Kasparov to draw

Purple haze up in his brain

Non-floating-game THAT GARY Kasparov has started playing chess against computers again. This time it's against a program on a machine called X3D Fritz and its programmers.

The matches vary from previous games Kasparov has played against machines, because this time he's got to wear a fancy pair of goggles that means the rooks, the knights, the pawns and the rest float in space before his very eyes.

The X3D Technologies page is here, while the Game One analysis can be found here. Seems like there's more money playing computers than real people these days. Perhaps oddly, the game of checkers/draughts is a different kettle of fish. Don't get the huff. µ
