Nvidia holds back results for share probe

Audit committee looking into things
Friday, 11 August 2006, 07:06
GRAPHIC CHIP firm Nvidia (tick: NVDA) is investigating share options it granted since it went public in 1999.

It joins a bevy of firms which have contacted the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) about discrepancies in the share options it's issued.

It has decided to delay releasing its quarterly results until the audit committee comes up with the results of an internal investigation.

Discounting that investigation, it's believed that Nvidia had a good quarter with sales up by a bouncing 20 per cent. NVDA closed at $24.16. ยต

* RAMBUS (tick: RMBS) said it will delay filing its Q2 results until its audit committee has pored over the share options it offered. RMBS closed at $10.80.
