Illicit Drug Perception Survey
Rather interesting the way the results step up from left to right.

. Bewnie came in with an article on devices being mounted mounted in GM vehicles, to monitor things like a black
box.. Scata came back right away with the obvious solution. Being the dweebs we are, and always wanting to talk about
cars, we of course did. Although, talking about safety type stuff, not something we usually do. Cupid almost brought us
off topic with a bit of photoshop tomfoolery, but we quickly got back to the subject at hand. Frnht pulled us way off
topic into food, which degenerated into a truly disgusting topic. Veggie meat substitute. Gahhh makes me sick to write
about it. Scuse me while I nip out for some broiled cow.
Tijuana 666 Okay, Now that I am suitably fed and recovered, at least partially, from that disturbing topic from above (though I suspect therapy may be required). Ok, so Hermie posted a link that talked about Tijuana not liking the area code they had been given. We vacillated around various poor (IMHO) jokes about the number of the beast for a day or two. Frnht as usual was able to bring in a Class 3 uncontrolled non-sequitor, which led us into scented bags of stuff. Don't ask me, I have no idea. We chatted weather for the rest of the 2nd. This somehow led into bread making, and then onto Pottery. Turns out our house alien TMEALIEN is a closet pottery nut. All sorts of weird talk of Kilns and stuff. Ok things are obviously going a little wacky here. From that SDMAHANEY mentioned his wisdom teeth, which brought out everyone's stories on that. I don't know I would have thought this lot wouldn't have a chance of getting wisdom teeth. We ended up talking about various themes in Neal Stephenson's novels.
What did you have for breakfast today? Food, food, and food, that about covers it. Up until about post 70, where one of our newbies who seems to be focused on drugs tried to pull us onto that. We managed to confuse him enough to get on with our own business. Cupid and GHC had a little lovers spat for a post or two, though it was instigated by Flashy. A brief bought of techno-geek speak, and then things went seriously downhill over the weekend.
What the hell is going on? Mr G comes in with a post that seems cryptic, to us Americans anyways. Apparently some F1 commentator has chosen to retire. Lots of talk about F1 and the like ended up chatting about lousy sitcoms, and a few good ones. Centering around Larry Sanders. I like to think that Larry appreciates that someone is talking about him, seeing as his career is just about completely dried up.
What does Hermit look like? TAMEALIEN thought that we should pass on to some of the newbies an idea of the personas of some of the Regulars. Started out with lighthearted descriptions, and I must say you guys have me all wrong. I'm much better looking than Arnold, or De Niro, but I digress. Definitely worth a look. With a series of posts comparing Dr. Spinola to various members of the telly Clergy, the thread veered off to a discussion of sitcoms, again. Funny that, seems that discussing Sitcoms is rather like politics. Everyone has an opinion, and no one is going to change someone else's mind.
Illicit Drug Perception Survey Well that brings us to the high volume thread of the week. Do believe it's a first for a poll. We had a couple of newbies breeze in, a little lost and confused (there was little wonder why they were confused). In fact the thread stayed on topic in a way. Sounded like a couple of pot heads trying to have a discussion. I'll try to hit the low points. Kops, British slang (lorries in particular), merkins (again), Gene Simmons, Richard Simmons, grass (as in lawn), car trunks and Ford vans. [deep breath] Clubbing seals, Duct tape, Petards, The New Jersey Turnpike, hippies, roads, prison, Eddie Stobart, Cupid, and Java. Don't know which is worse, Cupid or Java. You couldn't pay me to summarize this thread.
We'll it's only taken me a whole weekend and I'm bushed, so that's the end for this week. Best thing about this week is Mikey showed back up. Nice to see him up and shuffling about.
