WErecently wrote about Creative labs wireless speaker set. You can read it here. Those speakers should be announced in a few weeks and it will save you some wires.

Unfortunately, we learned that this might not be the end of the cable bushel. Logitech is already selling a Z-5450 Digital 5.1 wireless speaker kit.

It's been out for a while and you can buy it today for about €340.

You will get THX certified 5.1 system with 2 times front speakers each 38W, 2 times rear speakers each 40.5W, a centre speaker 42W and Subwoofer 116W. Those speakers are wireless as there are no any connection between them but unfortunaly you need power cables to power those speakers.

You win some and you lose some as you will now end up with many power cables instead of interconnction cables. Is there a point to this? I guess there is, as Logitech is selling it. We hope that Creative Labs plans to go for a battery approach but it might be just unreal to expect good battery life from battery powered speakers.

Guys we really need real wireless cables and I am sure that there is a battery that could recharge itself from some kind of radio wave emission, but we are not aware of such marchitecture. Or am I just dreaming? [Yes Fudo, you are. Kindly go look at this Nikola Tesla museum page. Ed.] µ
