TRUSTED REVIEWS tests a 19-inch SLI .... Laptop. Not a desktop. This model comes from AJP and is coined the M590K-H SLI. It is one of the most powerful gaming laptop out there weighing a luggable-mass of 6.6Kg, with a 19-inch display capable of 1680x1050. It includes two Geforce Go 7800GTX, a Turion ML40 - no FX60 or X2 - 2GB memory, a 100GB SATA desktop and a DVD writer. As one can expect, the expectations for this laptop are quide different a normal notebook and the price reflects that. At more than £2K+VAT, it is a mammoth in every sense.

AMDzone tests the Coolermaster Centurion 534 casing. Made up of aluminium and steel, it weighs more than 10Kg and is available only in silver. Special features include a 120mm fan, a mesh like design to improve airflow and a tool-free assembly, probably one of the best thing created by mankind to prevent cutting by blunt objects. Not much to be said about it. Obviously, there's no power supply for the price but there's a lot of space to play with.

One power supply that you may want to use is that Ultra X-connect II 550W ATX model which combines modular cable system with a catchword called Flexforce. Head towards Legionhardware to know what they are talking about. Quite an expensive beast but it does look impressive in its tiitanium finish and the number of cables you can plug in it is pretty impressive although they can be expensive as well. Very silent, UV+Windows design and support for multiple card systems - that surely looks as a winner.

Newcomer laptop mag has a review of the Gateway NX100x which is one of the first ultraportable from the ex-cow firm. The laptop has a glossy 12.1-inch widescreen display but no optical drive. The screen though is apparently worse than one would expect. You do get a full size keyboard though and although the price is relatively low for that category, you will probably find yourself buying more accessories which will add to the price and to the weight tag, in order to get the NX100 right next to Toshiba or Panasonic.

Neoseeker sheds light on the Asus A8R32-MVP deluxe motherboard which uses the latest Xpress 3200 chipset from the Canadian giant. x16 PCIe seems to be the star of the day and the A8R32 deluxe the perfect partner. The motherboard reached 350Mhz FSB stably - passively cooled - before crashing. The rest of the configuration is right at the top with eSATA, RAID, Dual GbE and so much more from the number one mohtberoard manufacturer. Probably the best socket 939 board availlable.

Alliance of Overclockers Arts tests and overclocks a XFX7800GT card. The card was actually purchased here in the UK so it is interesting to see how it fares for that price. The reviewer uses a set of synthetic demos. And he explains why. The card comes in a single slot format with a metallic bar at the top. It has a core/mem speed of 450/1050MHz. Bear in mind though that the various unlocking techniques existing to turn this one into a GTX have failed.
