Mon Apr 21 2008, 19:31

HORIZON did as we said and sold out to Avnet. We even said it would happen before April 24th.

April 18th saw Horizon admit to the size of the offer and the name of its suitor and today saw the distributor announce that it had signed the deal.

Horizon had 2007 sales of 288 million euros last year. Avnet reported sales of $15.68 billion last year.

The majority of Horizon's shareholders had backed the deal said Avnet. The deal will close in June. Everything else you needed to know we told you three weeks ago. µ
