Silverstone reveals AMD DTX format board

CeBIT 007 HTPC case with plenty of room in it
Tuesday, 20 March 2007, 09:59
AMD ANNOUNCED ITS DTX spec three months ago and now the first motherboards based on the layout are appearing on the map.

Silverstone had a nice DTX case for the HD over IP generation on show here in Hangover.

The Milo ML02 model supports micro-ATX, mini-ATX and DTX form factors. Using the DTX board leaves the largest amount of free space for customisation.

Nice looks. Support for DTX? Hmm...

...we asked for the case to be opened and beheld a DTX board inside

The DTX board itself was built on a red-PCB, bearing ATI Radeon, and not AMD chipset markings. This was probably manufactured by either ATI in Canada or partners such as MSI or DFI, and it featured markings such as Diamond Mech Board 2 and 100660-W02 REV100.

Rear of reference DTX mobo - it can feature HDMI ports, but not the sample that was given to Silverstone

It has two full-sized DIMMs, 24+4-pin power supply connectors, PCIe x16 and one old 32-bit PCI slots, 4 SATA ports, headers for additional USB ports and that's about that. ยต
