Acer does Ageia

Firm adds Physx to Intel boxes with Nvidian 8800GTS

ACER, A GROWING FORCE in PC making said it has decided to slip one of Ageia's weird Physx processing devices into a range of its desktop PCs.

Acer will add the card to its range of Aspire E700 and E571 series desktop PCs.

These are also equipped with Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS graphic cards, the ones with 640MB of dedicated DDR3 memory with Direct X10 support.

The PCs are based on Intel's Core 2 Duo or Intel Core 2 Quad processors and run Vista. µ
