Nvidia customers stuck in Rome airport

But while wireless LAN or Blackberries may be working, unfortunately around 100 customers are twiddling their thumbs because there's an Al Italia strike.

The 100 customers were hoping to have a graphics experience in romantic Sardinia, where Nvidia is holding its little jamboree.

At around £15,000 a pop, you can imagine they're not too enamoured of the delays.

nVision is an event where Nvidia line up its partners and then invite circa five hundred direct, indirect and potential customers to be brainwashed about The Way It's Meant To Be Played.

However as there is no direct flight to Sardinia, a lot of these attendees have to fly via Rome.

Word has reached the INQUIRER that unfortunately for many of these hapless souls, sometime around midday today industrial action by baggage handlers at Rome airport has left them stranded.

We hear it's absolute chaos in Rome airport and nVision travellers are being told that there will be no flights today and possibly not even tomorrow. From recollection nVision is just a two day event...

One stranded Nvidia customer said to The INQUIRER: "I know nVision is a just a bit of a jolly, but it's not looking like much fun now and we're being told to find hotels for the night. We can't get our luggage though, and the only underwear I've got is what I'm standing in." µ
