Microsoft snaps up security boffins

Vista security skills shortage

MICROSOFT has been spending a fortune on contract work for security penetration testers for its new Vista operating system.

According to IDG, Microsoft is sponsoring a Vista track at this year's Black Hat hacker conference. But show director Jeff Moss said that Vole has hired pretty much all of the bright people for Vista and made them sign ondisclosure agreements.

The number of speakers who can actually go out and publicly talk about Windows Vista security has dwindled. IDG said that Vista is being held up by its security teams.

Apparently Building 27, which is the home to the Secure Windows Initiative group Microsoft's security boffins are apparently wearing T-shirts saying "I caused Vista to slip".
