Novell shrugs off SCO slander suit

It's carrying on, regardless
Thu Jan 22 2004, 11:21
SOFTWARE FIRM Novell, which now owns SuSE Linux, appears to be unfazed by a law suit the SCO Group filed earlier this week.

That, at least, is what CEO Jack Messman told Bloomberg News, syndicated in the Seattle Times.

According to the article, Messman said that Novell would fight the latest allegations vigorously, and will carry on pouring funds into its Linux initiatives.

Those include licensing IBM to redistribute SuSE Linux products, he said.

He's anticipating SuSE Linux to grow by as much as 30% in 2004, he told Bloomberg. ยต
