Hotmail's new face-lift...

Does my butt look good in this?

HOTMAIL IS the world's largest free based email client, at least that's what Microsoft reckons, and it carries a lot of weight with newbie Internet users.

Some of the little lambs ready for Internet-culling seem to think that the term HTML derives from Hotmail.

But Hotmail, although it started life elsewhere, is now owned by the G-SOS.

A few days ago we spotted a difference in Hotmail services. The first and, maybe, the most important one is that somehow they have finally managed to reduce the spam that had become a really big problem.

With the new improved Hotmail, my account which I use as a backup solution, might receive dozens of spammy emails such as Want to Spy on Your Neighbours, This is a Lifetime Opportunity!!!! and Buy Windows XP when it comes out!!!

With the cosmeticised Hotmail, it seems that now you just get a few spams, still, however, a few spams more than you really need.

Yes, its face has been "tarted up", the wrinkles have been straightened and it is really pretty, just like the maidenly, heavenly and very fragrant XP.

All the little bumps and curves look nicer and better. They have even introduced organisation into the directory chaos of old, and you don't find yourself unceremoniously dumped into your Inbox. You can choose where you'll be dumped.

Some other things like newsletters are available as well as their advertisement of some new feature called Free Kiss. Messenger is still there and its user date base for it now runs OK, rather than KO.

Microsoft just cannot get things to work as they should, although they always come with great ideas.

Just as when Microsoft introduced Windows NT, we sincerely hope that this Hotmail leads to something much better in the future. ยต
