Playstation 3 and two Geforce 6800 Ultras

BRITISH website techniz reviews the OCZ EL 1GB DDR400 Gold edition memory modules - you actually get a pair of 512MB memory for dual channel configuration.. They feature a tight 2-2-2 timing and copper microspreaders.. Other geek-speaking marchitecture also included the likes of EVP and ULN2. Good thing though is that they are covered with lifetime warranty and toll free technical support. Performance is excellence as is the price.

There's one more Athlon X2 4800+ review here at Tbreak.com. Same conclusion reached this time around. Gamers should stick with the FX55 which continue to be the best deal around, X2 seems to be the perfect match if you are more of a creative and a professional. AMD's implementation of dual core seems to be a better and faster solution than Intel's, they say.

The Gecube X800-XLA-VIVO graphics card is under review at Hardwarezone. It comes with 256MB GDDR3 memory and is an excellent overclocker. It does also feature the RIALTO AGP bridge that doesn't seem to tax the card too much. Even if it ties with the 6800GT, its price should probably place it against the 6800 or exotic 6600GT versions.

PC Perspective explores the Asus P5ND2-SLI Intel Edition motherboard. Four DDR2 DIMM slots, seven expansion slots, dual SATA2 controllers supporting RAID, Gbit LAN controller, 8-channel sound, plus excellent overclocking of course. The price also is quite hefty, $279.99, more than twice the price of a Chimpzilla SLI motherboard.

Tomshardware has a look at Creative Labs latest Sound card technology, the X-Fi. One wonders what comes next after this one. Nothing much seems to have evolved since Audigy 2 some times back. 24bit 96kHz sound card are cheap and CL brings in a 51.1 million beasts clocked at 400MHz to prove to everyone that sound is still alive.

Anandtech has some photos of the Sony press conference for the near launch of the Playstation 3. The configuration and the specs are more than up to the level of current PCs and the fact that the onboard graphic engine, the RSX, should be more powerful than two SLIed Geforce 6800 Ultra speaks volume about the power inside the PS3.

They also have checked the Mushkin Redline XP4000 memory modules which is a DDR500 2-2-2 rated module. Its red, its powerful, even more than the OCZ VX Gold 4000 which was holding the current crown. That one reached DDR544 at 2-2-2 and 3.5v.

Last, there's another review this time from Systemcooling. They check the Silverstone SST-LC10M HTPC case which is a stylish piece of hardware. It is a slightly larger desktop-like black casing with the usual IO ports. Did it pass the test? See it for yourself. µ
