Thursday, 8 April 2004, 11:28
THE FIRM formed to integrate AMD and Fujitsu memory technology said it has now a complete family of memory products using Mirrorbit technology.

The firm released the S29AL/GL.M device family today, which is aimed at the consumer market as well as industrial, networking and other embedded products.

The line of memory chips uses 230 nano Mirrorbit technology with densities of between 16 to 256 Mbits. The way the devices are made means the cost structure compares to 180 nanometre multi level and 130 nanometre single bit per cell technologies.

Towards the end of this year, Spansion will release high density devices using a 110 nano technology.

Spansion says it is now the biggest NOR Flash memory firm in the world. ยต
