Hitachi readies Blu-ray camcorder

A REPORT SAID Hitachi will introduce the world's first Blu-ray camcorder this autumn.

Nikkei.net said the drive inside the camcorder will be eight centimetres and will have a 5.3 million pixels image device built in.

Recordable disks for the device will be released when the camcorder starts selling and Nikkei said the device will record one hour of vid on a single layer of one side of the disks. µ
