AMD predicts graphics card doldrums

Fog of DX10 descends

A SENIOR executive at AMD said the graphics card market will be in stasis during the first half of 2007.

Edward Chow, AMD APAC marketing director, told Digitimes that there's a lack of games supporting DX10.

But in the second half of next year, more Vista machines will have shipped, so games developers may see a need to write for DX10 systems.
