AMD releases Catalyst 7.4

ATI's unified driver gets an April update
Thu Apr 19 2007, 11:29
AMD HAS released Catalyst 7.4 into the world. The new drivers support all of the so far released versions of cards, and the drivers are out for all major operating systems, from Windows XP 32 and 64-bit, Vista in 32 and 64-bit and of course, Linux.

With Nvidians splitting the ForceWare into multi-formats and quietly shunning owners of previous gen products, AMD is (sadly) the only remaining party with universal support for all of its products neatly packed in one .exe file.

If you own ATI hardware, use our complementary L'INQ below to get your monthly dosage of driver downloads. We only wonder when that long-awaited feature called auto-driver update starts to work... if memory serve us well, that was promised with the launch of Catalyst, some four years ago. µ
