Elpida, UMC throw toys out of PRAMs

JAPANESE MEMORY kingpin Elpida has teamed up with Taiwanese foundry UMC to design phase change random access memory (PRAM) with a copper bottom, according to Digitimes.

UMC will give Elpida rights to license the copper low k tech, while Elpida will take UMC's socks, sorry SOCs.
