OCZ Geforce 8800 GTX pixellated, launching today

Better memory for better overclocking
Thursday, 28 December 2006, 15:53
OCZ said that it will launch its graphics card later today. Newegg is suppose to have some limited quntity of the cards as early as today and as soon as the West Coast wakes up.

The card comes at default Nvidia clocks, but OCZ endorses you to overclock the heck out of it. OCZ will handtest each card and will sell you the best overclocked ones. It comes clocked at 575MHz core and 1800MHz memory. The card comes with a lifetime warranty as well. It will be known as OCZ8800GTX - that is its part number.

We expect to get one soon and to try the overclock the heck out of it. This is how box and the card looks like. We still don't know the price but it should be competitive to the others.

OCZ also made the point that it can deliver a PSU that can provide enough power for the card and some great overclocking memory. Therefore, half of your machine can come from OCZ and that is the way they like it. µ
