ONE SET OF benchmarks you don't see all that often are professional audio ones.

Even more obscure is testing those programs under different OSes, not different hardware. Vin Curigliano of D.A.W. Bench took a look at Nuendo and Cubase under XP and Vista here, worth a read if you are into audio. µ
