MEMORY MAKER Hynix has stopped producing DRAM except to its contract PC customers.
The Wall Street Journal said that spot pricing on DRAM continues to sharply decline, and the move by Hynix, which supplies about a fifth of memory worldwide, is a sign that even the big Dramurai are feeling the squeeze.
The report quoted a representative of Hynix as saying he wasn't sure when the firm would feel ready to start supplying DRAMs to the open market again. µ
