And the souls mounting up to God, Went by her like thin flames - Dante Gabriel Rossetti
IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD the name Danger Den then shame on you. Double-D is the brand behind several enthusiast products, including the Tower-26 case. Hardware Logic has one in the office today. This particular tower is acrylic and mounts four forward facing 120mm fans moving air through the radiator bits of a non-included integrated Black Ice GTX480 water cooling system. The double-D logo is prominently featured on the front, with no extra connectors at the front. The Tower-26 does look like it has amazing real estate for just about any config you want. $269 as reviewed. Get it here.
Trusted Reviews has a review of what seems to be a prime choice LCD for console gaming: the Toshiba Regza 37XV505DB 37-incher. Naturally it’s Full HD, and it has 3 HDMI connectors (so you can really plug in your PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and stick your Wii in the component plug... Tosh didn’t do a great job on the design of the LCD TV, reckons John, but the price is about right. Image quality could’ve been better, tho’. If you’re looking to upgrade to a big-screen gaming/entertainment setup, this one is affordable. Get it here.
Transcend has joined the SSD fray and has given OCIA a go at their goods. TheTS32GSSD25S-M is an MLC-based kit with a modest performance, which, says Mr. Funk, makes for a better external carry-around storage unit than your laptop’s main storage device. Still, $150 does seem quite tempting (that’s about $0.20 per gig of storage). Check it out, here.
“You hear that? That is the sound of inevitability”. Yes, despite Tom’s team having dissed the overall benefits of SSD, you can now peek at their 14 SSD roundup (that’s one expensive roundup!). That’d be Crucial, Hama, Memoright, Mtron, OCZ, Samsung, Silicon Power and Super Talent units all wrapped up in one big test, and although they still don’t seem to appreciate the benefits of SSD, they managed to recommend a single maker... Sammy. Look at Tom tear SSD a new one, right here.
Our mates at XSReviews are testing the XFX GTX 280, that blocky looking video card that’s currently the top end of Nvidia’s cards. Whoopty got some good mileage out of it, but better than that, he managed to overclock the (already overclocked) card up to 800MHz core/ 2650MHz memory, which should be enough to kick the hell out of any HD 4870... badly. Still, it costs upwards of 320 of Your Majesty’s royal pounds *coff*.
We still haven’t figured out why you’d need one, but ThermalTake makes a 1500W power supply – dubbed the ToughPower 1500 – and APCMag is testing one. Shane (where have we heard this name before...?) looks into this monster PSU finding it’s actually a dual 750W supply bunged into one big box. Still, he hasn’t found a reason for buying one, either, although it’s good to know you have all this power at your disposal... Read it here. µ
"Transcend ....TS32GSSD25S-M ..... Still, $150 does seem quite tempting (that’s about $0.20 per gig of storage)"

it's more like 4.7$ per gig not 20 cents
The Transcend TS32GSSD25S-M is a 32gig unit for $150. That's about $4.69 per gig.
