I think it's inevitable we move to 64-bit architecture - Bob Colwell, former chief architect, Intel
BIG BLUE said its T221-DG5 flat panel colour monitor is now available.*
The monitor has 3840 x 2400 maximum resolution, a tilt stand, and 22.2-inch viewable screen. The monitor has 204 pixel density an inch, and includes 9.2 million pixels.
It comes in "stealth" black, as pictured, and includes a detachable VESA mount. The T221 has a three year warranty and has over 20 different display modes, depending on the adaptor.
Operating systems supported include Linux 2.4x kernels and later, Windows XP, and the Windows 2000.
The monitor comes with dual DVI to 2X DVI convertor box and cables, a USB cable, power cords and manuals.
List price is a not inconsiderable $8,399.
The monitor looks spookily like this Viewsonic one, here, which costs considerably less. Could they, by any chance, be related? µ
* A READER reckons this monitor has been out for a while. Why is silly old IBM telling us it's new today?
