ROADMAPS SEEN by the INQUIRER in the Porcupine indicate that Via, which is already in litigation with Intel over alleged patent infringement, will press on with other revisions of chipsets for the Pentium 4.

We have already reported on the P4X333 but can now report that in this quarter Via will sample its P4X600 chipset, which will support 400/533MHz front side buses (FSBs), 128-bit DDR 266/33, will include support for V-Link 533MB/s and which will go into production in Q2 of this year.

Pro Savage Pentium 4 chipsets on the way include the P4M333 which comes with Zoetrope GFX and as reported here the P4M266A which will support 533MHz front side buses.

And Via is pressing ahead with its chipsets for Athlons, Durons, and the Hammer - K8 technology.

The K8 HTB will sample in April this year and use the HT (Hypertransport) bridge, support AGP 4X/8X and Vlink 533MB/s.

The KT333 is already sampling and as we pointed out before, there will be a KT333A sampling in March for production in the second quarter of this year.

The KM-333 will support 266/333 DDR memory types, the Athlon 200/266MHz bus, have Zoetrope GFX and samples this quarter for introduction in Q2 again. ยต
