EVGA and XFX trapped in legal war

Preliminary injunct calls for ban of German boxes
Tuesday, 15 May 2007, 19:37
AFTER OUR COLLEAGUES from Hardware.Info broke the story that XFX GeForce 8600GT retail box comes with wolf slime containing EVGA's logo, European HQ of EVGA reacted strongly and won a preliminary injunction against XFX/Pine Technologies.

Fascimile of court decision

We have received the documents from Munich Court and Chamber of Commerce that confirm that EVGA won the injunction, damages ranging from 5 to 250.000 Euro and a ban of sales of allegedly offending products in German retail and e-tail stores, until new artwork is produced.

This picture is now being used as a court document:

Oddly enough, EVGA did not used original article on Hardware.Info, but rather one from LegitReviews.com

We will keep our eyes on further progress in this affair, as we want to hear from both sides. ยต
