THE EAGLE-EYED FRENCHMEN over at x86-secret.com have been a-wibbling through Intel's published pages again and come up with this interesting snippet.

You can lease a pre-production system from the chipster, sporting, of all things a Hyper-Threading NWD 2.8GHz Pentium 4 processor, for just $1950. The Frenchies wonder whether this little baby will tip up some time, along with, maybe, a more affordable 2.6GHz Multi-threader. Wibblez dans cette direction .

An equally eagle-eyed INQ reader has spotted a 3.06 GHz Pentium 4 on sale for just $699. Roll up, roll up! Sheesh! Couldn't I buy a whole PC for that? Don't quibble, man. Wibble over here. Available, they say, "at launch". Sheesh!

AMDBoard has lain its hands on a Leadtek roadmap sporting a few nForce and Athlon K8 details. Notice that red blob between December 2002 and 2003, marked AMD K8 motherboard? The Mageek has been known to get out a ruler and try and pin down the exact date, you know. Have a wibble over here.
