Wall of PCI Express cards erected

Intel Developer Forum
Thursday, 9 September 2004, 00:47
THE EXHIBITION AREA of the Intel Developer Forum is open for action today, and it's a big big area.

While Nvidia is keeping its PCI Express cards on its own stand, the PCI Express SIG has two displays which it calls walls of cards.

They're quite small walls though, and an awful lot of them are ATI cards.

There is a very impressive 3Dlabs Wildcat Realizm unit, two SAS RAID cards from Adaptec, an Agilent QX4 4FG FC card, and then there's the ATI cards. Get ready.

It's showing the X800E, the X600, X600XT and X300. Then it's showing the FireGL V3100, V3200, V5100 and the V7100.

Emulex has two cards on display, the LP1050X2GFC and the LP 10000EXDC 2GFC, a lot of characters to remember when you pop into Best Buy to pick up a handful.

Finally, Intel had a number of reference PCIe cards on display, including the 41210 board.
