Bluetooth Christmas gifts coming up

BLUETOOTH KIT makers will gather in a smart London hotel next week to show off forthcoming wares aimed at filling Christmas stockings.

Yes, you read it right. Members of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group aren't content with headsets, they want to move into the seasonal gift business too.

Firms including Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson will be there and products including music systems, navigation devices and kit for cars and motorcycles are promised. Other firms scheduled to participate include Anycom, Eleksen, Oticon, Freedom Input, Peiker, Gear4 and Parrot.

These might not be the most romantic presents of all time but they could edge out the handkerchief set, driving gloves and bottle of Brut. µ
