Asustek confirms EEE PC delays

End of October now
Thursday, 27 September 2007, 12:59

WEB SITE Digitimes has confirmation of our earlier story - Asustek's much vaunted EEE PCs are delayed.

According to the website, here, the machines will be delayed until the end of October - they're already supposed to be available.

Asustek told the wire that there are several reasons the launch date has been shoved back. One is that it wants to add Linux apps to the machines.

The cost of the machines will remain the same, but as we pointed out in our story from IDF last week, there are several prices and everything depends on how functional you want your EEE box to be. µ
