NVIDIA WILL LAUNCH its low-end part dubbed GeForce 8400 on June 19th.

This component is expected to give Graphzilla competitive edge over long-delayed ATI's Radeon HD 2400, mostly given to the fact that it will be available right away.

With this launch, Nvidia is finishing its complete triumph over results of internal AMD-ATI struggle, which is resulting in many of ATI people leaving or being forced to leave.

Since we know how AMD executes, it is little wonder that Graphzilla is adding steam and preparing a new part. G8M is the codename for refreshed 8400, most notably in the segment of manufacturing. The gates in this new part are will shrink to 65 nanometres, additionally reducing power consumption and improving performance by allowing higher clocking.

This is not all, since it will have new, and a not broken video processor. Codename for this video processing unit is VP3, instead of VP2 that is built inside current generation of chips. Most notably, this card should be able to run 1080p video stream, for a miniscule price of 45 USD or Euro.

Also, this component will support PCIe Gen 2, an important check-box feature as we move to Autumn. µ
