The outfit reckons the technology behind 3DTelepresence is "far ahead of current trends". It transmits a life-size 3D image of a person, creating the perception of both the person's presence in the room and of eye contact. It reckons using the system means that all that non-verbal cues which account for over 70 per cent of human communication is discenable over thousands of miles.
The firm is currently trying to persuade banks that the technology is a good way for it to meet their customers. Beats being in a room with them.
Imago is to unvell an application for the technology in the City of London next month, we hear.
Ian Vickerage Managing Director of Imago Group PLC claims 3D Telepresence is a revolutionary technology. "This kind of technology used to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars," he said. "Now TelePresence technology is accessible to smaller businesses as well as professions."
"3D TelePresence really is the closest thing to actually being there," he reckons.
