WONDERING WHAT A BARTON looks like? Well, it looks like an Athlon. VR-Zone has a pic of what it thinks is "probably the first Barton engineering sample". If you look closely, they say, you'll notice that "the die is longer than the current T'Bred B due to the increase in L2 cache to 512KB." Have a gander over here.

3DCenter says nVidia has already stuck two new Anti-Aliasing modes, intended for the GeForceFX, into its Detonator 40.72 and 41.03 drivers. The modes are also available for GeForce3 /Ti and GeForce4 Ti owners, they say. They've even supplied us with a Googled translation from their original German over here.

You can't see some of the modes on the Detonator control panel, they say. For that you'll need this tool, it seems. You'll have to do the translation yerself…
