Lenovo attempts to snap up Packard Bell

Acer won't be happy

CHINESE FIRM Lenovo is attempting to buy up Packard Bell, presumably because it would lose face if Taiwanese firm Acer snapped it up instead.

A company spokesperson revealed Lenovo's over arching ambition to a Wall Street Journal hackette today.

A few weeks ago Acer said it was interested in Packard Bell, and made it plain it wanted the brand name because it still has importance in parts of €uropa. ยต
