Supertalent breaks the memory mould

Hardround Upware Triple head break out box tested

SYSOPT TESTS some Supertalent memory. While the name might sound Far Easternese, they are actually based in California and have produce a heck of a memory. The PC2-6400 modules have a timing of 4-3-4-8 and comes with aluminium heatspreaders. Its price is higher than the competition but at least it is not overclocked like many others. You can still overclock it even more plus it comes with a cool lifetime warranty and has some under latency potential.

BIOSMagazine checks the Rock Pegasus 550N laptop. This business laptop - don't expect to play on it - features a Core Duo T2400, 512MB memory, a 60GB HDD and a Dual Layer DVD writer. On top of that you even get a memory card reader, a built-in web cam and an optional USB Freeview tuner. There are however more than a few differences that sets it apart from the likes of Thinkpads. While it packs significantly more firepower without increasing the price, there's a je-ne-sais-quoi that still keeps it behind the best.

BIt-Tech reports on the Matrox Triplehead2Go external break-out box. It enables three monitors to connect with one VGA port and is an update of the Dualhead2go. Now you can play a 3840x1024 using a single card - which is its maximum resolution. Of course, you could try to use it on a SLI risk - at your own mental and financial risk. The concept is way cool but as for most Matrox products, it is definitely not geared towards gaming as benchmarks show a definite decrease in performance.

MCE-compatible are becoming more popular. Bjorn3D tests the Visiontek Xtasy Theater 550 Pro MCE Edition. It is ATI based, comes with a nice remote control, has a low profile format. The card not only has the Theater 550 Pro onboard but also 16MB DRAM for the TV and FM Radio. The bundle included is also quite impressive with a break out box, a few cables and the remote control although this one has limited Snapstream compatibility. There's no bundle video editing software. Video and Recording fees are very good and do set the standard for others.

Design Technica comes with a review of the Casio Exilim EX-S600, the latest of those anorexic Digital camera. Ahem, this 6MP model does not have a viewfinder because of its small size it seems. It records to MPEG4 - in a gorgeous way according to the reviewer. It has a good picture quality and very long battery life. It is not cheap though but also has an anti-shake feature is this is what you are after. But you will need that docking station to transfer and charge the camera.

AOAforums helps you to modify your h7800GT BIOS. The surgery is carried out on the XFX 7800GT. Photos and BIOS are included. After the successful operation, your card should be able to have a small gain in maximum overclocking performance. Small Gains, Big pains as they say. NiBiTor was the tool used. µ
