IT’S A DOG’S life for game maker Ubisoft, which has announced it will be coming out with a dog coaching game for both PCs and Nintendo DS handhelds.
The latest in a long line of Ubisoft games which aren't actually games, ‘My Dog Coach’ will apparently be based on American television's ‘The Dog Whisperer’, hosted by charismatic canine expert and dog shrink, Cesar Millan. Yeah, we have no idea who that is either.
The ‘game’ purports to help pooch owners better understand their little darlings by taking a closer look at pack mentality displayed by canines in the wild. This, Ubisoft reckons will help users learn various techniques for keeping their pets in line, using different reward and punishment systems.
“The player takes the role of Cesar Millan’s apprentice and learns all about dog psychology through imaginative and entertaining gameplay”, noted Christian Salomon, vice president of worldwide licensing at Ubisoft.
The game will apparently lay out 40 of the most common dog problems and teach users how to solve them using Millan’s advice of "Exercise, discipline, and affection... in that order".
Barking mad. µ
While this game will undoubtedly be good for amusing little Sally, I doubt very much that the bald-shaven, tatoo-sporting, cigar-smoking fatigue-wearing owners of highly dangerous rabid spikey-collared attack mutts will benefit from this kind of product.
Which is a shame, because if anyone needs to know how to master those public dangers, it's the ones who are straining on the leash to keep them from rushing the nearest baby and making a snack out of it.
When I give my dogs beer, they whisper something about being "master of the horse," or some other such poodle...
I says, “Sit, Ubu, sit!.. Good god! You must need to Wii! I'm fetching no more Jack Daniels for you!”
after Supernanny got sectioned and Nanny911 bailed out.

Cartman from South Park, have you heard of him and that?

Cesar Milan is good at what he does, worth seeing once or twice.
In Canada we get the above mentioned TV show. It is truely amazing what this guy does with misbehaving to violent dogs. They (dogs) all feel his power and become nice pets. You just have to see his show and the way he works. Check out the link.

You don't know who Cesar Millan is? Just look up "The Dog Whisperer" on youtube and check out some clips from his episodes. He's totally awesome.

He can correct the behavior of any dog in just a few days. Sometimes it only takes seconds, sometimes it's longer, but he always corrects the dog's behavior.
