Punters want more Wi-Fi hotspots

We want it on a plane, we want it on a train

UK PEOPLE apparently want Wi-Fi access from more places, according to a report from T-Mobile.

The report said more than half of punters want information when they are on the train and a quarter wanted access while they were on the tube. Another 13 per cent wanted to use their computers to surf the net while they were on the beach.

Apparently 45 per cent of users used Wi-Fi to talk to friends and family and not just for business use. Some said they even used their Wi-Fi to carry out emergency communication work including one campaign organiser during last year's general election who needed to get electoral information to party HQ urgently. ยต
