IBM releases TPC-H benchmarks for its Linux Opteron cluster

BIG BLUE has an Opteron cluster out later this year and it's just released its benchmark results for the IBM Server 325 for 100GB data sizes, using DB2 UDB 8.1.

The system runs on a cluster of eight two CPU 246 Opterons, running on SuSE Enterprise Linux 8 and each dual machine having 6GB of memory apiece.

This also indicates that IBM is likely to ship DB2 for Opteron earlier than expected - availability date is the 8th of November 2003 according to the TPC report.

The eight nodes cluster includes 5831.06GB of storage. Here's a snap of the IBM results: µ
